Three General School Policies That You May Never Have Heard Of

Here at Renton High School, school policies are pretty standard but there are many policies that students may have never heard of. T

oday I’d like to share some of those policies to inform you on so that you don’t end up in trouble.

The first school policy is more directed towards the activists/protesters of the student body. Individual students and organizations can meet on school premises to discuss and pass resolutions. But they are to be held in designated places where they shall present no hazard to persons or property, shall not disrupt classes or other school activities. Also shall not use vulgar or lewd language, shall not include intimidation such as shouting and harassment as well as other verbal conduct. And lastly shall not include hateful statements meant to degrade other students based on ethnic, religious, gender, or racial groups or incite violence.

The second school policy is for the fashionistas of the student body. In regards to clothing students aren’t allowed to wear clothing containing sexual, vulgar, violent or offensive content, references to drugs, sex, alcohol or gang affiliation are also not permitted. Pants must be worn at the waist (no sagging), skirts, jumpers, shorts must be at finger tip length or longer. hide the wearers face/identity, the administration has the authority to make changes at any time to the above dress code based on either safety or health or educational reasons.

The third and final school policy we’ll be discussing is for the whole student body. Students at Renton High School are allowed to bring phones to school and use them during approved times. But stolen/lost phones are not under the responsibility of the school to find thus why it is encouraged to leave phones at home.
