Your Days at RHS

Isaiah Bolar, Journalist

Donald Vinson is important to interview because he attends Renton High School and he can give readers an inside point of view of our school. He also plays sports for our school and can hopefully encourage readers to play sports.

Q- In what grade was your first year at Renton High School and what year was it you attended?

A- 9th grade and the year was 2019.

Q- What are 3 pros and 3 cons of going to Renton High School?

A- For the pros, the school is very diverse, nice teachers, and it’s close to home. For the cons
it’s easy to get distracted, you have to go out of your way and ask for help or it’ll be hard to get it,
and it’s easy to fall into the wrong crowd.

Q- Do you play any sports for your school if so what sport do you play?

A- Yes, basketball.

Q- What makes your sport coach different from others?

A- Rashaad Powell is the dean of students and he is always very motivating.

Q- What’s the best part of playing this sport for your school?

A- You will become well known in the school just from being on the team.

From what he’s answered with I could assume he likes Renton High School. Renton has a good basketball coach, nice teachers, and school might not be far from home, as well as the school has a motivating dean of students which is Mr. Powell/coach Powell. If you’re the type that wants to be recognized/known, then Renton High School sports is for you.
