This opportunity is a paid summer internship. It is hosted by the teens in public services and it is used to offer teens with practical work experience, understanding of ethical leadership, and a venue to put their values into action. Tips have been intentional about providing the opportunity to gain real work experience while also ensuring interns receive appropriate compensation for the work being poured into the community.

 

What they’re looking for:

● Are aged 15-19, or will be 15 by the start of the 2023 summer program in june, and enrolled in high school
● Can commit to a part-time work schedule for 6-8 weeks during the summer months of June-August
● Are available for 3 mandatory training dates:

Wednesday, May 24th (evening)
Saturday, July 22nd (full day )
Friday, August 25th (evening)
● Are passionate about community, public service, and social justice.
● Have a desire to grow your leadership capabilities and practical work skills

 

Compensation + More

● Up to $2,900 in total earnings (Seattle’s minimum wage in 2023: $18.69 x maximum of160 hours)
