GEARUP OPPORTUNITIES (9TH AND 10TH)

ALL 9TH AND 10TH GRADERS!! GEAR-UP IS HAVING MANY OPPORTUNITIES AND FUN ACTIVITIES THAT ARE COMING UP!! ARE YOU INTERESTED?

THIS FRIDAY APRIL 22, GEAR UP is hosting an all day event for our Latino students called La Chispa! If you are interested in your 9th or 10th grade student participating, there is a flyer included in this email with registration information. This workshop is focused on building up students cultural identities and encouraging students to further their educational growth. Both Spanish and English will be spoken. Lunch will be provided to participants.

  • AJAC Youth Apprentices (Links to an external site.) will receive tuition-free college credits from Renton Technical College.  This program is a combination of paid on-the-job training (part time) and college-level classroom instruction.  This is a no-cost program to qualified participants.  Upon completion, students will receive industry recognized journey-level certification as a Production TechnicianWhen?     UW’s Young Executives of Color (YEOC) program is a 9 month college pipeline program. It is designed to cultivate the academic potential of underrepresented high school student leaders in Washington State through college preparation, powerful mentorship, and the development of real-life business skills. YEOC was established to increase the number of underrepresented students in the college pipeline and at the University of Washington Foster School of Business

    Are you thinking about a career in pharmacy? Check out UW’s STEP program. It is in person July 18-21, at the UW campus. Applications are due by April 30th.
