Drama crafts gory cuts in an immersive learning experience
October 31, 2018
The day before Halloween, Drama class with Mrs. Khelghatian was quite exciting–and a tad bit nasty. Using supplies like wax, sponges, lotion, and makeup, the students were able to create horrifying, realistic, and painful-looking cuts on their hands and arms.
Students worked with the materials and steps on Khelgatian’s whiteboard to create their own versions of the wax cut that she demonstrated for them on a student.
Students paired up and made cuts on their partners. The oozing “blood” sealed the deal, along with broken plastic (“glass shards”) sticking out of their cuts.
