The world can be very dangerous. One of the most shameful crimes in this global world is human trafficking. If you’re not aware of what human trafficking is, it’s when you’re a trade for a purpose and it can involve force, abuse, fraud, etc. Innocent people are held against their will. Common examples of purpose are sex trade, forced child labor, and sexual slavery. Victims are emotionally, physically, and mentally abused.
Human trafficking can happen to anyone, anytime of the day, no matter who you are. 15,000 to 50,000 children and women get trafficked every year. Boys and girls from ages 12-15 are victimized most of the time, but anyone can be a victim.
More understanding of human trafficking and different forms of it:
Forced Labor is when someone is physically assaulted, sexually assaulted, isolated, and/or confined by another person to work for them.
Child Soldiers Trafficking is when the persons that engage in unlawful recruitment of children through force, fraud, or coercion by exploiting their labor or abuse as sex slaves. The child soldiers are mainly between the ages of 7 or 8 years old.
Child Sex Tourism is when people traveling from their own country where child sexual exploitation is illegal to another country where they can engage in the sexual acts with children.
Human trafficking is not talked about enough in this world. So be very careful, aware and cautious. If you know someone that needs help, please call the hotline and help.
