Homecoming is a school spirit tradition that combines sports and social activities into a week-long celebration culminating in a football game and dance. Every year when we return back to school after summer break, Renton High School students look forward to their iconic homecoming football game and dance. The energy the students give to this tradition is ecstatic!
Renton High School’s 2024 homecoming football game on Friday, September 20th was a spectacular, interesting, and entertaining game to watch. Our high school football team swept the game clean with their strong beginning and carried out their game plan to the end with a solid 49 to 13. Unfortunately, there was some negative feedback spreading on social media about Renton High School’s football team days nearing their big game. Fortunately, our football team showed nothing but positivity and confidence going into the homecoming game, and they ended the game on a good note! Congrats to the Renton High School football team! We are so proud of you!
Renton High School’s 2024 homecoming dance was held on Saturday, September 21st in the school cafeteria. The event was mesmerizing with the uplifting music, games, and photoshoots. Songs like Apple Cider by Beabadoobee and Cupid Shuffle by Cupid had most students dancing the night away! The fun games including ping pong entertained many students as well. To top it off, we had photoshoot stands with a photographer to remember all of the beautiful memories made at Renton High School 2024 Homecoming! It was a night to remember!
As Renton High School’s 2024 Homecoming comes to an end, we must acknowledge and celebrate the growth of our academics, sports, and extracurriculars as we emerge into the 24-25 school year. The potential that Renton High School students have are endless. Cheers to many more school dances, sports games and growth in the 24-25 school year!
