Ms. Willecke sponsors the Poetry Club, but the students run it! So you can contribute your ideas and decide what the club is doing. You’re invited whether you’re an experienced poet or a poetry enthusiast. Because it’s a brand new club, it’s all about collaboration and creativity, where everyone can pitch ideas and work on something that they love.
If you were ever inspired by a poem or you just enjoyed hearing words, then join this club. It is a free and open space where your opinion matters and you are allowed to just be you. There are features for choosing a topic to work with teams, post, and share among yourselves.
Ms. Willecke mentioned that if you enjoy poetry, you should join. If there’s ever been a poem or poetry that’s spoken to you, then you should consider joining. The club is all about helping students find their own poetic voice and connect with other like-minded poetry lovers.
No matter if you’re a poetry expert or just getting started, the Poetry Club is open to everyone! It’s a fantastic opportunity to share your poems, join fun workshops, and be part of a group that loves exploring the magic of words and self-expression.
Poetry Club meets in Ms. Willecke’s room # 261 every Friday after school until 3 pm.
