Join the Educators Rising Club!
The club is dedicated to preparing future educators for success. The club focuses on getting ready for their end-of-year competition, which includes practicing presentations and discussing the various competitions they will participate in. They also organize fun fundraisers, like making phone charms last year and running a thrift store this year. An exciting aspect of their activities is volunteering at local schools, where members help with career events like last year, they taught kids knife skills using play-dough!
The president has big goals for the club, aiming to expand membership by the end of their senior year. While most members currently come from the Teacher’s Academy, they want to attract more enthusiastic participants interested in education. They also plan to enhance community building within the club for next year.
The club president mentioned, “If someone’s interested in the field of teaching, or wants to be any form of educator whatsoever, I highly recommend coming and considering participating in the competition. Even if someone isn’t interested in either, I still recommend coming if someone wants to participate in a club that isn’t so intimidating to join. We’re welcoming with ice breakers and make it easy to come and know what’s going on even if you missed a meeting.”
