This is a music review of some newer albums recently released that we listened to.  The rating system is based off of our own preferences.  We reviewed them on how we connected with the lyrics, how the pump of the song felt, and the all around energy it gave to us. 

This album gives powerful words out to its audience while showing what the audience wants to hear from JID at the same time.  He gives praise to old artists and understands what’s happening with the world outside of his rap career. He takes shots at the consumer themselves by saying, “fans argue about record sales like they record execs themselves,” which means he is tired of the fans bringing up stuff like numbers and streams and things like that. He also takes nod to the previous industry beef between Kendrick and Drake saying, “I don’t give a f**k about no industry beef” due to many people bringing his name up during the beef saying “what if JID…” or “when’s JID gonna…” and many more things along that line.

This album gives more of an electric vibe to the audience with loud beats that get you pumped up along with her beautiful vocals for the perfect vibe.  This album is all around a feel good album for fans to enjoy and listen to.  Her powerful words makes you feel good inside with how she speaks her lyrics.

This is an album all about motivation. He said it himself, “don’t listen to the album without moving around,¨ signifying that it’s meant to be an album for when you’re working out, dancing, or doing something active.  This album is one of Tyler’s most experimental albums since Cherry Bomb, which is something some people did not like and criticized.  This showed how people only enjoy the deeper meaning in music and always want to have something to find as a bigger story, but on the other hand there were people who enjoyed the unseriousness of this album.  We agree with them. The upbeat beats and lyrics gave Tyler a braggadocious feel, which hasn’t been touched upon. 

This album gives out his experiences in life and what he’s feeling into words on his music.  It is beautiful and worth a listen. Plus the features range from Westside Gunn to people like A$AP FERG and beyond.  This album is truly a beautiful story telling.

This album gives out more of a older school music vibe, sticking to what most audiences think are the ¨traditional¨ hip hop and speaks to an audience that misses that time period of hip hop.  Including his love for the wrestling scene with titles of songs off the album like HEEL CENA, POWER HOUSE HOBBS, and VIKOLAI VOLKOFF, which are from WWE and AEW.

This album gives out a great amount of beats that encourage the audience to listen to it and it makes them captivated.  The music video has surprise appearances from Drake and other artists, like Yeat is giving a statement about where he lies. 

This album provides a great listening experience to its audience.  The powerful words and great flow along with the beat makes you want to listen to more. But a down side is he brings up politics in a weird way by saying, “ok what if voted for Trump, so what?”  This is a weird statement, yet the music is still good.

This album introduces a lot of artists along with the already loved Jackboy and Travis Scott.  Audiences already love these two artists, plus it also features artists like Future and Youngboy, Never Broke Again, which both have huge hits in music and already stream to a live audience.  It also features another artist that everyone is talking about, AKA Playboi Carti.  This gave us hits like Shyne with Glorilla, and songs like Champain & Vacay by Don Toliver and Travis Scott.

This album is what ¨saved the summer¨ in a lot of people´s eyes.  Tecca provides with amazing producing that he does himself, incredible lyrics that he writes, and his ecstatic personality that captivates listeners.  Tecca doesn’t post albums very often and normally it’s around summer time which proves why he saves the summer with his music. But every time he does, it always becomes a contender for one of the best of its time.

This album gives a great listening experience to its audience, a lot of people love Laufey and that spreads to a wide group of people.  She gives emotional words that are powerful and relatable with all of her music, and her amazing vocals are also enough to captivate a person.  The beautiful orchestra instruments she uses helps her music be not for one generation, but for all.

This album provides amazing storytelling and powerful meaning for the audience to relate to. In this album they prove how much they deserve praise for this work.  Listening to just a few songs is enough to get someone into listening to even more.  The very high expectation they had for this album played dividends until the end and it delivered completely.

This album is more of an electric experience with a lot happening in your ears.  The beat draws you in as you listen more in depth to what the song signifies.  It also shows how much work and effort they put into making this album. From once being apart of the group Brock Hampton to being an amazing solo artist, he’s come a long way from his humble beginnings.
