How effective is yoga?

Tatiyanna Lewis, Staff Writer

Depression and anxiety are common among most women and children across the United States. The most common treatments for depression and anxiety are prescriptions such as medication and counseling. Although these are effective for some people, another alternative remedy is using yoga to help with depression and anxiety.

What is yoga?

It is a mind and body workout that involves breathing control, simple mediation and the adoption of body postures. It is a physical, mental and spiritual way to fight stress.
