It is the company that made Fortnite Battle Royale.

What is Fortnite?

It is a battle royale game inspired by Player Unknown Battle Grounds, also known as PUBG. But, it has its own twist. It has child-friendly graphics, and the game is in third-person perspective. There are 100 players, and you are supposed to be the last one standing out of a hundred people.

When was Fortnite made?

It came out July 25, 2017, on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and was released on March 18, 2017, on iOS.

What was Epic Games trying to accomplish by making Battle Royale version?

To be successful, better than Candy Crush! Epic Games wants to be a rich company, and it has been.

Why is Fortnite so addicting?

If players loses the game by a little, they can examine the state of the game and note that they were “just one or two moves away from winning! I’ll win next time for sure! ”

Epic Studios knows this. They made sure that gunfights almost always result in one player winning only by the skin of the teeth. These little things are what make some games very addictive, and that made Fornite successful.

Interview with Frank

  • Why do you play Fortnite?
    • It’s a fun game to play and I am good at it, and it’s free. Everybody likes free stuff.
  • Would you say that you’re addicted? Why?
    • Yes, because there are lots of updates and something new every week on Fortnite. But, I still do my daily homework, and stuff.
  • Why do you think that Fortnite is addicting?
    • It’s a free-to-play game and a new genre of the battle royale. It’s a kid-friendly game and has its own twists like building towers in seconds and stuff.
  • What do you think about the addiction?
    •  I don’t know, depends on how you look at it. If the person doesn’t want to do ANYTHING that is a problem, but if it’s like I did all my chores, and homework, it’s okay.

Thank you, Frank, for the interview!
