Multicultural fashion show is back at RHS!

The multicultural show has been a unique way where different cultures in the world can be expressed in different ways like: dancing, singing, arts and the fashion show.

The fashion show is a multicultural show of various fashions from a variety of countries and cultures around the world. The show is like a regular fashion show where the participants walk the runway during the multicultural show. It is a huge representation of the fashions of the various cultures represented by students at Renton High School.

So, this year 2018-2019 the fashion show will take place during multicultural week (January 22-26) at the Ikea Performing Art Center (IPAC).

The participants are from various cultures and continents. The participants are from:

North America: Jamaica, Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala.

Asia: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, India, Laos, Nepal, Philippines, Vietnam and Samoa.

Africa: Ethiopia, Ghana and Somalia

The fashion show was always a part of multicultural week at Renton High School except during the 2017-2018 school. Curious about why it did not take place, an Arrow reporter asked Ms. Keopanya about it.

“We did not have enough time to prepare,” Ms. Keopanya shared, alluding the the large task and effort that the show requires from all participants.

This year, everyone is looking forward to the exciting and wonderful cultural performances.
