Summer 2019 is on its way. Seattle is full of fun opportunities, and there is no shortage of games, shows, concerts, and festivals. Whether you’re bored or busy this summer, if you’re looking for more things to do nearby to improve your time off school, here are some of the best options.

 

Renton River Days

July 26 – 28, 2019; in Liberty Park

Renton River Days is the community’s annual festival. The event is very family-friendly and fun for people of all ages, and features a parade and tons of food.

Ace Comic Con

June 28 – 29 – 30

Ace is Seattle’s annual Comic and Superhero convention. It lasts three days, and features people such as Marvel’s Chris Evans, Josh Brolin, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Renner, and Don Cheadle.

WaMu Theater Concerts

Various dates

WaMu theater, located in CenturyLink Field, hosts dozens of concerts and events throughout the summer, some of which include 21 Savage and Maluma this year.

Dragon Fest

June 29, 2019 @ 11:00 am-7:00 pm

Dragon fest is Seattle International District’s annual Asian cultural festival, and includes tons of beautiful and fun cultural performances and dances, as well as a $3 food walk.

Seattle Pride Parade

June 30 @ 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Seattle Pride Parade is the city’s 45th annual Pride Parade, and celebrates everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. Its an amazing experience for members of the community and allies alike.

Wicked

Broadway’s Wicked is coming to Seattle theater! This prequel to The Wizard of OZ is critically acclaimed and supposed to be amazing.

The Woodland Park Zoo is located outside of Seattle and is home to over 1,100 animals, some of which are incredibly rare, and all of which are incredibly cute.
