Renton High School’s talent show last Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center was amazing! This is an event that we look forward to every year and this year’s talents did not disappoint. We started off with the energetic and entertaining emcees Ray Bradford, Zaakira Dukuray and Kayley Madden.  We had many fascinating  performances starting with the Cosmic Maniac band performing “Mother” by Danzig, followed by the breathtaking performance of Lourdes Gary singing “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele. We also witnessed a splendid duo Evelyn Wong and Brigitte Camarillo-Martinez vocalizing “Our Song” by Taylor Swift. The audience was getting hyped up by the one and only Kai Wendorf  lip syncing the song “Turn off the Noise” by Peter McPoland. Moving forward to the fifth performance was a powerful and astonishing singer with electric guitar performing “From the Start” by Laufey, followed by another extravagant vocal performance by Sarah Chishungu, “Lonely Boy” by the TXT. The seventh performance was switched into a fabulous dance by Michelle Arjona-Reyes with the song “Get Up” by Ciara. We also viewed a superb lip sync dance performance from the “Spice Girls – Wannabe” which was made up of Abigaile Rank, Lourdes Gary, Lucy Cave, Phoebe McCall and Sophie Burgos.  Last but definitely not least we had the dazzling Cosmic Maniac band’s second performance “Aerials” by System of A Down performed by Simone Guimaraes, Liam Fanning, Nick Ingles and Otto Wendorf.

We had just witnessed our students showcasing their phenomenal performances and if you did not make it to this year’s talent show…you’ll have to wait until next school year!
