Saturday, January 12th, was the second cheer competition that the RHS cheerleaders attended this year. This was the Winter Cheer Classic held at Skyline High School.

Leading up to this event, the cheerleaders had to make some adjustments to their game-day routine to be within the time limit of 3 minutes, and also switch up some formations due to losing one person, but they made it work.

During this competition, the cheerleaders only performed their game-day routine. They ended up getting 3rd place in the small game-day division and qualified for state. They got a good placement for competing with 10 other teams.

There is one more cheer competition coming up that the cheerleaders will be performing both game-day and stomp at the Sequoia Competition. So, for any RHS fans wondering what a cheer competition looks like, please come out and support the cheerleaders for all their hard work on changing things up to prepare for state!
