CORTIS is a South Korean boy group formed by Big Hit Music. The group consists of five members: Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. They debuted in August of 2025 and released their first single, “What You Want,” which was released as their lead single for their EP Color Outside The Lines, which consists of songs you may have heard, such as “Go!” and “FaSHioN.”
Martin: Martin Edwards is the leader of CORTIS. He is seventeen years old and is the third oldest of the group. Martin was born in Canada; ethnically, he is Canadian and Korean, with his father being Canadian and his mother Korean. Martin has also helped produce other songs from other groups, such as TXT, ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM, and ENHYPHEN. He helped with all five songs on their EP Color Outside The Lines.
James: Zhao Yufan is known to fans as the main dancer of CORTIS. He is twenty years old and is the oldest member. He was born in Hong Kong, but he grew up in Taiwan. James is of mixed Chinese descent (paternal) and Thai (maternal). He is fluent in Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and English. James has received credit for songwriting and composing songs such as, “Magnetic” by ILLIT and “TXT Deja Vu.” Prior to his debut, he also assisted with the choreography for the songs.
Juhoon: Kim Ju-hoon is the third member of CORTIS. He is seventeen years old and is the second oldest of the group, two months older than Martin. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, and is of Korean descent. In addition, he is fluent in both Korean but also English. He, along with the other members of CORTIS, helped with the songs on their EP Color Outside The Lines. Specifically, Juhoon helped with the songs, “GO!,” “FaSHioN,” and “JoyRide.”
Seonghyeon: Eom Sung-Hyun is the fourth member of CORTIS. He is sixteen years old and the fourth oldest of the group. He was born in Seo-gu, Daejeon, South Korea, meaning he is of Korean descent. He is also fluent in Korean and English. Seonghyon has helped with all songs on their EP Color Outside the Lines.
Keonho: Ahn Geon-ho is the fifth member of Cortis. He is sixteen years old and is the youngest member of the group which means he’s the maknae. He was born in Panjan-dong, South Korea, which makes him of Korean descent. He is fluent in both English and Korean. Keonho has helped with four songs on their EP which include: “Go!,” “FaSHioN,” “JoyRide,” and “What You Want.”
CORTIS is known for their creative concepts and energetic performances. They are also admired for their variety of their musical genres. Fans are excited to see what they create next!
