Famers Market
Each Tuesday from June to September, there will be a farmers market from 3:00 to 7:00
p.m. For the 2025 season, they are moving operations while Piazza Park gets an
upgrade; they’re not going far. It’s a kid-friendly, come-and-eat fresh food, live
entertainment, and vendor lineup, and it’s a grapevine away on Williams Avenue South,
between South 2nd and South 3rd Streets.

Return to Renton Car Show!
On Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This event will be held at 233 Burnett Ave S to Main St, Renton, WA 98057, USA. The admission is free for attendees, but vehicle registration is $30.
This is the 34th annual Return to Renton Benefit Car Show and they’re back at it again this year. When you come here, you’ll see hundreds of cars and enjoy a day full of exciting entertainment, food trucks, vendors, live music, and fun trophy categories.
You can bring your whole family for a big day of fun. All monetary gains and contributions from this event will support local youth programs, family and community programs (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM). Participating vehicle arrival and set up (enter at Morris and 3rd) 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Favorite Vehicle Voting from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Trophy Presentation.

Eastside Port Unplugged
On Wednesday July 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
You can come and learn about the Port of Seattle’s role in economic development and regional issues that are important to East King County at Port Unplugged.
Location:
The Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa, 1200 Carillion Point, Kirkland, WA 98033.
There will be no cost for admission. There’s going to be a delightful evening of networking, insightful and eye-opening conversations, and a chance to “unplug” and connect with others attending this event. More details to follow as the date gets closer, including registration information. (Speakers include Commission President Toshiko Hasegawa, Economic Development Manager Annie Tran, and FIFA World Cup Seattle Chief Strategy Officer April Putney.

Renton River Days!
Renton River Days is a festival that stems from local collaboration. Since its birth in 1986, they’ve been celebrating and expressing their passion for food, art, music and entertainment for any and everyone!
The festival’s main activities are going to be held at Cedar River Park, Liberty Park, and the Renton Community Center on July 25-27 2025.

Held virtually on Zoom.

Student Networking Event:

It’s going to be held at Renton Technical College (3000 NE 4th St, Renton, WA 98056).
Washington Business Week who’s collaborating with the Renton Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to a unique Student Networking Event in which professionals and students connect in a fun and engaging setting. WBW students will have just completed their weeklong program developing real-world leadership, professional, and financial skills. This upcoming event offers the opportunity for them to meet working professionals across industries, practice their networking skills, and also explore potential career paths.
There will be light refreshments provided, including mocktails and possibly lemonade as you speak and connect with students from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and then you can stay and talk with professionals from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This is a great way to support future generations of leaders and to build your own connections with ones there and across the community.

Recycling Collection Event
Every year, the City of Renton holds small recycling collection events that are open to all residents. All events are held at the Renton Technical College (3000 NE 4th St) Parking lot between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
2025 event dates and accepted items:
September 13: Styrofoam, Plastic Bags and Confidential Materials Shredding.

Clean Sweep for 2025!
Now through December 31, 2025, single family residential customers within Renton city limits can schedule one pickup of extra garbage at no extra cost.
This pickup will occur on your regular garbage day and must be scheduled one to four weeks in advance.
Pickups can include
- ️Up to 10 units (32 gallons per unit, no side longer than three feet, max weight of 65 lbs.)
- Two bulky items like mattresses, sofas, or chairs
The following items are not accepted and should be recycled or disposed of in other ways: appliances, electronics, recyclables, yard waste, liquids, hazardous items, and construction material.
Please consider repair, reuse, or recycling items instead of disposal to reduce environmental impact.
