Homecoming Spirit Week was the week of September 16th-20th, and related to our theme: Emerald City. Welcome to the recap of The Wizard of Oz Spirit Week, Renton High school edition!
We started the week in a cozy groove! Monday was Pajama Day and the entire school was cozy and comfortable as the weather began to turn from warm summer to chilly fall.
On Tornado Tuesday, people dressed mismatched like they went through a huge tornado! Mismatched socks, different shoes, and colors that you wouldn’t typically see together were all present on this spirit day.
For Ruby Red Wednesday, everyone participated! Students as well as teachers showed their school spirit as the RedHawkS by wearing red.
Thursday did not disappoint. Thursday was Glinda (pastels) vs Elphaba (dark colors)! We saw a range of light colors from pink to white. Lots of students also participated by wearing all black outfits!
On Friday we ended the week with a Renton classic, color wars! The senior class was blue, juniors were green, sophomores were silver/white, and freshmen were orange/yellow. Here are the juniors wearing Bad Witch Green!
This was a successful first spirit week and we continue to look forward to many more. Keep up the school spirit RedHawkS!
