Summer is almost here, and there’s so much to do! Here are some quick updates on what you can expect this summer.
- Summer Concerts are coming to Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park! Family Fun Series entertains around Renton! rentonwa.gov/events.
- The Summer Meals Program begins Monday, June 30. The program provides free meals to youth ages 1-18 throughout the summer. rentonwa.gov/summermeals.
- Henry Moses Aquatic Center reopens this Saturday, June 28. During reopening preparation, a boiler plate which helps heat the activity pool was found broken. The part should be arriving soon so please mind the cooler-than-normal temperature. Additionally, the play structure is being replaced and will be installed for the 2026 season. rentonwa.gov/hmac.
- Renton Farmers Market brings fresh goods and produce to Williams Avenue every Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. until September 30. rentonfarmersmarket.com.

Summer meals begin June 30
Free lunch, snacks, and activities will be provided to children aged 1-18 at various places around the city this summer.
Renton School District’s Summer Meals Program, in partnership with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, allows all kids to access healthy food when school is out. Most meals will be served Monday through Friday, from June 30 to August 15, at various locations, including several city parks:
- Heritage Park
- Kiwanis Park
- Liberty Park
- Sunset Neighborhood Park
These sites are the same locations hosting the Family Fun events, so stick around and enjoy!
No registration is required. Participants must eat the meals on site. Some locations and dates may vary, so please check the full list of locations and hours at rentonwa.gov/summermeals.
