ILLIT is a South Korean girl group formed under Belify Lab, a sub label of HYBE. They were formed through the JTBC survival competition show R U Next. The group consists of five members: Wonhee, Ihora, Minju, Moka, and Yunah. They debuted on March 25, 2024, with their EP “Super Real Me” and their lead single “Magnetic,” which hit the US Billboard charts within eight days of release.
Yunah: Noh Yunah is the first member of ILLIT. She is twenty-one years old, making her the oldest member of the group. She was born in Chungju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. Yunah has trained 4-5 years, which is the longest out of all the members. She was the final member of the group to be revealed. Her favorite animals are dogs, and she has a Maltese named Louis. Her charm point is her teeth when she smiles.
Minju: Park Minju is the second member of ILLIT. She is twenty-one years old, making her the second oldest of the group being born a few months after Yunah. Minju was born in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Her favorite type of movies to watch are horror movies. One specialty of hers is that she can play the violin.
Moka: Sakai Moka is the third member of ILLIT, and is also the third oldest of the group, being twenty-one years old. She was born in Fukuoka Japan, and by fans is seen as the “mother” of the group. Just like Minju, Moka also enjoys watching horror movies. Moka’s favorite animals are cats, and she would like to raise one.
Wonhee: Lee Wonhee is the fourth member of ILLIT. Wonhee is also the fourth oldest being seventeen years old. She was born in Busan, South Korea, but moved to Changwon. She was the first member of the group to be revealed, and she was picked through fan voting. Wonhee enjoys playing sports and she was also head of her sports department at her school.
Iroha: Hokozono Ihora is the first and final member of ILLIT. She was the fourth member of ILLIT to be revealed. Ihora is the youngest of the group, which makes her the maknae, but she is also seen by fans as the main dancer of the group. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, and her personal motto is “Don’t leave any regrets.”
ILLIT is known for their bubblegum pop sound, and their debut song “Magnetic,” which had reached billboards to 100 and high debut album sales.
