Aerospace is a vital job that we need more people to do especially because of how our transportation and our supplies and trading and everything works. Aerospace has everything from cleaning the jets to managing an entire section of the aerospace program. In this career there are so many different opportunities, including building airplanes. There are a lot of different parts that you need to build to make an airplane, but one of the main things that concerns everyone is how perfect it needs to be. When making an airplane and keeping the people who are going to be riding in it safe, the airplane individual pieces need to be less than millimeters off of the perfect mark for it to be acceptable. If you go too far, even with that one part and one single thing on that plane is messed up, then the plane isn’t allowed to be taken off the ground because it is nonoperational. On the other hand, you need certifications and more than practice to be permitted to work on these airplanes and anything else in that job. lt is a very fun job and will always have you staying busy no matter what it is you’re doing. It also pays extremely well for the amount of danger and the amount of work that is needed for it to be safe for everyone.

What working in aerospace entitles you to do is you get to work on airplanes, jets, and rocket ships. It all just depends on what field you want. There´s also things like working on the tools and building/creating new methods, and leading crews to fulfill the safety that is required to run aerospace.

The wages for this career very a lot. They go from lowest of $70,000 a year to $300,000 a year. The hours of someone working in aerospace varies as well, with how much you’re trusted, or how much excellent product you can produce, or how long you’ve been there. Places like Boeing will normally start you off slowly and increase your hours as you come along. Days can vary from a normal 8-hour shift to upwards of 10+ hours a day.

Aerospace is a vital part of how our world runs and is very important that we have a lot of determined people and hard workers for this position. It affects all of us whether we are traveling or even just buying a product from a store.

There are multiple ways to pursue aerospace careers. For example, there are companies that will train you for specific jobs that involve aerospace. Here at Renton High School, we have a program where we are directly involved with Boeing so that kids have an opportunity to get into a great career straight out of high school.
