Hello RedHawkS! If you didn’t know, Renton School District offers mental health support for students through Hazel Health.
Family and students have access to Hazel Health regardless of insurance status. It is free! You can make an appointment with real licensed therapists, and you have a choice of meeting virtually or in person.
The mental health services include therapy that helps people cope with their feelings, bullying, anxiety, grief, peer and family relationships, depression, stress, etc.
Many therapists are also bilingual, so if English isn’t your first language, then you can still get access to mental health support in your language. Each student typically gets a minimum of six to two months of weekly sessions before being discharged from the Hazel Health program.
Everything that is shared with Hazel Health is confidential, so none of the information that is shared with the therapists is shared with anyone else.
