What is a real estate broker manager (or managing broker)? A real estate broker manager oversees daily office operations supervising real estate agents, ensures legal compliance, and drives team performance. They are responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring agents, reviewing transaction contracts, and implementing marketing strategies to grow the brokerage. Some of the duties and responsibilities they have are many but depend on if they are working with a seller or a buyer. Some responsibilities include:
- Listing homes for sale, usually on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
- Sharing brokerage listings with other MLS brokers to get buyers to go to listings.
- Advising home sellers on how they better prepare their home for listing and showings.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- License – active Real Estate Managing Broker license.
- Experience – proven experience as a top-performing real estate agent, with prior management or leadership experience preferred.
- Legal Knowledge – strong understanding of real estate contracts, laws, and ethical standards.
- Skills – exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and computer proficiency.
