The New York Knicks are headed to the NBA Finals after completing a dominant four-game sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 130-93 victory in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Playing in front of a stunned crowd in Cleveland, New York controlled the game from the opening quarter and never let up, leading by as many as 45 points on the way to their first Finals appearance since 1999.
The Knicks showcased their depth throughout the clinching win, with six players finishing in double figures. Karl-Anthony Towns led the balanced attack with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Jalen Brunson continued his stellar postseason run and was later named Eastern Conference Finals MVP. New York dominated nearly every category, including fast-break points and bench scoring, while Cleveland struggled to keep pace offensively outside of Donovan Mitchell, who scored 31 points in the losing effort.
For the Cavaliers, the loss marked a disappointing end to a season filled with championship hopes. Cleveland entered the series expecting a tight battle but instead was overwhelmed by the Knicks’ defense, pace, and depth in all four games. Meanwhile, New York’s historic playoff run continues as the franchise now waits to face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals beginning June 3.
