Climate Change Is Real

Souad Moussa, Journalist

Climate change isn’t just about specific places in the world being colder or hotter it’s also about droughts and floods happening in areas where they shouldn’t be, weather on Earth has been changing little by little in the 19th century leading to more severe effects on both the people and animals.

Climate change is about long-term shifts in the earth’s weather patterns. Due to the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere, climate change has gotten significantly worse over the years from the wildfire in eastern Washington to the major flood in Tennessee. Carbon dioxide isn’t the only factor in climate change. Fossil fuels play a significant role in it too. Fossil fuels are made of decomposed animals and plants lying in the earth’s crust used to create energy. Still, that energy just adds more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and in time makes natural disasters more likely to happen.

The best way for humans to reduce their effect on the environment is by doing simple and easy things like saving energy, changing your home’s source of energy, walking or biking instead of driving to reduce gas emissions, cleaning up the environment, recycling and most importantly SPEAK UP if the future of humanity won’t speak up then who will?
