The Renton High School boys’ soccer team has battled through a challenging 2026 season, currently holding a 2-6-3 overall record and a 2-4-1 mark in district play. Despite sitting near the bottom of the standings, the RedHawkS have shown flashes of competitiveness and talent, including multiple draws and wins this season. Matches such as a 3-3 tie against Sultan and a 6-0 win against Tyee shows such talent.
However, the season has also featured tough losses against strong competition, including a 6-0 defeat to Cedarcrest who has been ranked as a top 10 team in the 2a classification according to WIAA’s RPI rankings, and a narrow 4-3 loss to Highline in the 2nd overtime. As the schedule progresses, the RedHawkS continue working to improve consistency on both ends of the field while gaining valuable experience for a developing roster. With 2 games still ahead, Renton looks to build momentum and finish the season strong, aiming to turn close performances into wins and climb the district standings.
