The Renton High School girls’ softball team has faced a challenging 2026 spring season, currently holding a 2-10 overall record and a 1-6 mark in district play, and they are ranked the 295th best team in the state according to MaxPreps. Despite the record, the RedHawkS have shown flashes of offensive potential, proved by a dominant 21-11 victory over Lindbergh early in the season and a 25-8 win over Mercer Island. That performance showcased the team’s ability to generate runs in bunches and compete when their lineup is clicking.
However, consistency has been a struggle for Renton, with several tough losses against league opponents such as Evergreen and Foster. As the season continues, the RedHawkS are focused on improving defensively and finding more balance at the plate. With a young roster gaining experience, Renton hopes to build momentum late in the year and turn those competitive outings into more wins down the stretch.
